I got the job! I got the job!
For those of you who don't know yet....
A few weeks ago I applied for a "consultant" position where I work. This is something along the lines of an assistant manager. You do supervisory type work and assist the manager in their duties. The role I applied for isn't a consultant in a team, so I'll have less of the supervisory than I might have had.
And I was successful in my application!! I was competing against five other people (two of whom were successful in other positions that were available), all but one of whom had been at the company for longer than I had.
I'm very excited about this, as until now, I was the only member of my team that wasn't a consultant. Of course, now I'm not in my team any more. Life is funny that way.
On the plus side, this means I now have a manager (see a few weeks ago Corporations and Punk)
Happy Happy Joy Joy.
Celebration 1: Tonight,
fnord7 is cooking me a special dinner
Celebration 2: Wednesday night game night
Celebration 3: Nottingham meetup
Celebration 4: THE BIG PARTY -- 1 April at my house! Let me know if you want to come! (and no, not an April Fools Joke)

no subject
(even the boss of Corp was sulking at me today for being giddy about the Gogols gig because he couldn't be there!)
