I'd like to first say that I think the bus companies could have done more about warning people the buses would stop running. I almost didn't make it home, I was on the last 83.
Second, I'd like to point out the sheer absurdity of this page:

Which starts with: "However, unless stated below services are running their normal routes."
And then goes on to state that almost every bus company in South Yorkshire "have temporarily suspended services" or "services are being suspended for the remainder of the evening."

I'm accepting of the fact that heavy snow is so rare here that snow plows and similar equipment are simply not worth maintaining, but surely the least the bus companies and the Transport Executive could do is provide us more than 0 minutes notice that the buses are suspending service.
