Well, not so lazy. I did update the Names/LJtags. It reads a bit strangely with "![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
furcushion" in there though. Sorry I can't remember Decline's live journal name or I'd link it too.
It was a fun weekend. Friday night we went to Decline's for cocktails as advertised.
There was a bit of Drama when we arrived at the checkout at Tesco with ... oh... a lot ... of alcohol (and food) and were told by a Knob Goblin manager that unless *everyone* in our group could produce ID, they wouldn't sell it to us.
You read that right. No, not that I could buy it and take the heat if they were under. Nosirrreee. They refused to sell alcohol to ME, who was obviously within my legal rights to do so, because the people who were accompanying me didn't have ID. Not that they were underage, they weren't. They just didn't have ID.
Soooooo, we go back to Decline's (a short walk) and sent back the members of our group that WEREN'T with us in line to buy the alcohol.
We were glad that we'd gone to the trouble to send people back for the alcohol, because Decline is fabulous at making cocktails. Just ask chatbot for her opinion on Tropical Bastards. (all Decline's cocktails are Bastards...)
We played some BWC (yayfurcushion!), and watched part of Howl's Moving Castle before wussing out and heading back to the Hotel to get some sleep.
Saturday,furcushion, Decline, fnord7 and I hit charity and record shops and had a nice lunch in a pub. Then we met up at the Pit and the Pendulum where there was more drama when we sat in an area that was intended for the DJs (should have been marked reserved and wasn't) and then had to move just as our food arrived. Also, more ID drama. Two of the people with us (non-KOLers) were asked to leave because they had no ID. Interestingly, furcushion did NOT get IDed when she went up to the bar to buy drinks for us initially, but DID get IDed when she went up to get a glass of water later.
At this point, the group split up, because I wasn't feeling well, and then Decline started feeling poorly as well. Sofurcushion and Tom_the_Mighty went on to the Pitchshifter concert (which they thoroughly enjoyed) and Decline, fnord7 and I went back to the hotel to sit in the bar and chat for a few hours.
Then Sunday,furcushion, fnord7 and I headed back home on the train, after a nice light breakfast at a delightful cafe (because I was too tired to get up in time for breakfast at the hotel)
